Trick or Treat 2018!
Hi!
I am so excited for this exchange. All these words are just here for inspiration for you and I don't have my heart set on anything, so if you want to create something that I haven't mentioned here, please do!

General
Fic likes: fics of all ratings, magic and magical realism, moral ambiguity, intelligent protagonists, shameless tropes, distinctive/atmospheric settings, character studies through action, first times and getting together rather than established relationship, dominant women, rain and storms and weather, everything autumnal, everything to do with Halloween.
Art likes: art of all ratings, bright colours, experimental styles, stillness, lighting and shadows, snapshots of a scene, hands, expressive faces, clothes and dressing up and undressing, symbolism, a sense of warmth or cold or atmosphere, rainstorms, character studies and portraits. Porn likes & dislikes: Porn is very welcome but not required at all. Vanilla sex and smut that focuses entirely on what the characters are thinking and feeling is always lovely. If you want to write kinks, my favourites include sharing fantasies, light bondage, verbal/honour bondage, toys, femdom, d/s elements that aren't painstakingly negotiated and both characters are conveniently into, sex pollen, desperation leading to frottage & sex with clothes on. Please avoid M/f, anything to do with collars, necks/breathing being impeded in any way, bloodplay, and bodily fluids that aren't commonly involved in sex.
Trick & Treat
Trick likes: Atmospheric horror. Psychological horror. Comedy horror! Finding the light in dark places. Spooky houses. Abandoned places. Creepy trees. Dark spaces full of unknown things. That slow, creeping sense that something is Wrong. Apocalypse and post-apocalypse. Dystopia. Science/magic gone wrong. Zombies. Eldritch abominations. Being stalked by something that may or may not be human. Guilt.
Treat likes: Adventures and mysteries and investigations. Roadtrips. Characters taking care of each other in their own way. Competency, and skills being appreciated. Pets. Humour and banter. Domesticity and quiet, peaceful slices of life. Body worship. Silly party games that end in kissing or feelings. Characters doing what they enjoy.
DNWs
I don't have many, and they all have caveats!
- Permanent character death. Like, it's fine if they die, but they need to come back - and as it's trick or treat, it's more than fine if they come back Wrong. This only applies to main characters. OCs can totally die and stay dead, if you want.
- Non-con. For all of my requested characters I'm fine with dub-con and coercion and mind control as along as the requested character is the one in control.
- Animal cruelty or death. Monsters that are technically animals can be killed! But please be nice to pets and wild animals and things that aren't actively trying to kill anyone.
Fandoms
Galavant (TV) - Fic & art, Trick or Treat
Isabella, Madalena
I love them both so much. I love Isabella's fierceness and pragmatism and determination to do what's right. I love Madalena's ambition and self-preservation and bloodthirst. I also ship them SO HARD, but I will adore anything focused on either of them individually! (Please keep it gen if Isabella/Madelana is not your thing!)
Fic prompts, for either of them:
- What was she doing pre-canon?
- What is she up to post-canon?
- A new prophecy forces her back into an adventure
- A moment of triumph.
- Zombies are already canon. What other dark creatures are real in their world?
Art prompts, for either of them:

Ship prompts: Hatesex/enemies-with-benefits/slap-slap-kiss! While ruling Valencia, Madalena makes Isabella her handmaid, and feelings ensue. Or, while ruling Valencia, Madalena makes Isabella her sex slave, and feelings ensue. A spell goes wrong and suddenly they are physically bound together. They both find themselves in the Forest of Coincidence, or the Swamp of Sex Pollen, or the Cave of UST.
Quacks (TV) - Fic & art, Trick or Treat
Any (Caroline Lessing, John Sutton, Robert Lessing, William Agar)
This show is very silly and I love it dearly. I adore the details of how Victorian medicine is so different to today, the drugs and drinking and fun in contrast to all the restrictions of proper Victorian society, and the way these four all have their flaws but deeply care about each other (... most of the time). I would love something as daft as the show or genuinely terrifying or anything in between!
Fic prompts:
- Victorian All Hallows Eve traditions!
- For one night only, the boundary between the living and the dead is very thin. Do they even notice?
- The zombie apocalypse happens, and none of them are taking it as seriously as they should.
- One of them throws a costume party. It goes as well as you would expect.
- Is it ghosts or drugs?
Art prompts:
- Costume party!
- Victorian photography (are there ghosts?)
- A seance
- Anyone petting Ben (John's dog)!

Queer Eye for the Straight Guy RPF - Fic only (but art treats are wonderful!), Trick only

Queer Eye: The (unplanned) Halloween special.
I would love to see them deal with something even more horrifying than a man who never grooms. Maybe it could be a haunted house, or a client who is somehow not quite right, or a whole town that sure is super friendly and keen to make sure they leave by nightfall. Maybe the camera crew keep disappearing, and there are weird sounds coming from the locked basement. Scare the hell out them (and me)!
A couple of personal preferences: ideally, none of the fab five are used to this kind of thing, and only survive due to the talents we've already seen. Also, I'd prefer not to have all the spookiness be a set-up, or a prank, or anything less than supernatural weirdness. The weirdness doesn't need an explanation!
Alternatively - set it in a world where monsters are totally normal and are also just looking for acceptance! Maybe a zombie needs help covering up his smell and also needs tips on the best recipes for brains. Maybe that tentacle monster is looking for love and also to move out of his parents' basement. Maybe that werewolf wants to propose to his (werewolf) boyfriend but needs help finding a tuxedo that can stretch as he transforms. Anything!
Obviously, free feel to focus on the experience of just one of the fab five! I love them all and have no preference.
