Dear Yuletide Author 2021!
Hi! ♥
Firstly, for all of these requests, I would be delighted with any story in these canons and there's no idea I have my heart set on, so please write whatever works for you because I am 1000% sure I will love it. All this is just here for inspiration, and free feel to disregard all of it if you already have something else in mind!
I'm afterism on AO3.

Fics of all ratings, all tenses and POVs, magical realism, silliness, adventure, case fic, ghost stories (with real ghosts or just overactive imaginations), science and pseudoscience and the Indiana Jones style of archaeology, terrible jokes (and good jokes), competency, fantasy & urban fantasy, myths and legends and fairytales, apocalypse and post-apocalypse fic, distinctive/atmospheric settings, epistolary fic, unusual formats, canon-divergence AUs, roadtrip fic, domesticity, slices of life and anything that reveals character.
Also; people acquiring pets, loyalty kink, moral ambiguity, first times, getting together rather than established relationship, threesomes as a solution to love triangles, power imbalances, mind control, shameless tropes (time loops! fake dating! bodyswap! sudden telepathy! we must share body heat to survive!), crossdressing, first times, enemies-to-lovers, friends-to-lovers, happy, hopeful or bittersweet endings.
I love seeing characters showing affection in their own unique way, relationships being important and intense and not necessarily romantic, relationships that are physically intimate before becoming emotionally intimate, relationships that only make sense to the people involved, and love being anything but straightforward.
Porn is very welcome but is not required at all. Vanilla sex and smut that focuses entirely on what the characters are thinking and feeling is always lovely. If you want to write kinks, my favourites include verbal/honour bondage, light bondage, praise kink, any painplay that doesn't leave permanent damage, femdom, d/s elements that aren't painstakingly negotiated and both characters are conveniently into, sex pollen/fuck or die scenarios, desperation leading to frottage & sex with clothes on. Please avoid maledom/femsub, anything to do with collars, necks/breathing being impeded in any way, bloodplay, and bodily fluids that aren't commonly involved in sex.
Non-con, serious illnesses or pandemics, permanent main character death, animal cruelty or death, bleak and hopeless endings, setting change AUs, unrequested crossovers.
Stanley Moon, George Spiggott
If you're unfamiliar with the fandom but curious: it's a film starring Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, about a man who sells his soul to Lucifer in exchange for seven wishes, which in theory he uses to woo the woman of his dreams but mostly he just becomes accidental BFFs with the Devil. (IMDB)
Gen would of course be lovely, but if you're tempted by Stanley/George then here are some more thoughts: it could be a temptation, a curiosity, friends helping out friends (fake dating?!), a twist to a wish that turns out surprisingly well for the both of them, somehow it's Lust's fault, somehow it's Envy's fault, Stanley realises he has genuine feelings, George realises he has genuine feelings and acts accordingly/terribly - anything.
Damien
If you're unfamiliar with the fandom but curious: It's a podcast about people with superpowered abilities getting therapy. It's very charming and full of characters who have depth and are trying their best! I'm into the terrible one who's beyond help. Listen here.
I adore him, but my favourite moments from the show are when he's suffering. It's the combination of arrogance and vulnerability and desperation and the way he's so performative in his villainy, and so terrible at it. All he wants is someone to actually listen! And then... he completely wastes that opportunity with Mark by being obtuse. He is his own worst enemy, and I love that journey for him, but I also deeply want him to be better.
I ship Mark/Damien like it's my job but I'm also into the complicated mess that is their canon dynamic, so you can explore that which ever way you wish! What if they run into each other while Mark's touring with the band? What if Damien realises his moral compass is doing him no favours and tries following Mark's instead? What if Damien actually apologised?? Dub-con kissing and touching is okay but (to be blunt) please no genital contact if it's only Damien's power making it happen. Dub-con for other reasons (like Mark being angry and Damien being desperate for forgiveness) is delicious. I'm also weirdly fond of Agent Green and always happy to smush my favourites together, if you want to explore how on earth that could work.
My headcanon for how Damien looks is pretty close to how he's described in the books: Pale and skinny and scruffy, dark-haired (shortish but probably in need of a cut) and apparently not that tall (Mark is word-of-god taller). He probably needs a shave. You don't have to describe him at all but please don't contradict any of that!
In the extended universe I've read all the books and I'm listening to The College Tapes as they're released publicly, but I don't particularly want anything that draws on any of them. The one thing I do really love is Damien's friendship with Rose in Some Faraway Place (and, okay, Damien's letters to Mark made me incandescent with joy. Would you like to hear Charlie Ian reading the last one he writes to Mark? It's awful. I've listened to it a million times.) if you want to include her in any way!
One final prompt, because maybe he deserves one nice thing - apparently Damien loves dogs, and clearly this is the solution to all his problems. Unconditional love! Endless hugs! Give Damien a dog!!
Worldbuilding
If you're unfamiliar with the fandom but curious: It's a text-based online game, where it's 1890 and thirty years ago London was stolen by bats. It's Victorian London gone deliciously weird. You can play it here, or read the wiki dedicated to the worldbuilding and lore here.
I've played Sunless Sea if you want to use any locations or characters from there, too. I've completed the Heart's Desire ambition and I'm near the end of Bag a Legend, but feel free to use characters & locations from the other ambitions, if you want! Spoilers are meaningless to me in this fandom; I want to know everything.
There's no faction I wouldn't be interested to see more of, but I am inordinately fond of the Rubbery Men (so sad! so polite!) and always delighted to spend time with Devils (so vicious! so polite!). I love the real life people, places and festivals that turn up in Fallen London, if you want to pick a real person/building/event and explore how the Neath would twist it.
I also love second person POV, if you want to write in the style of the game!
Again, these are all just thoughts I'm throwing at you in the hope that it might help spark something, but please don't feel limited by any of it! Thank you so much for signing up for this exchange, and if you love any of these fandoms then I already love you. ♥♥♥

Fandoms
Bedazzled (1967)
Stanley Moon, George Spiggott

Anything in the spirit of the film would be perfect! Optional prompts:
- Something post-canon, with Stanley moving on with his life and George continuing to be a constant chaotic force within it, or George finds someone new to trick and likes to bring Stanley along for the ride, regardless of how Stanley feels about it.
- I'd love to see more of the club - maybe Stanley decides to do George a favour and go work for him there, to be his only employee that's both competent and actually likes him?
- I do love the discussions on God and angels and hierarchy, if you wanted to write them just talking about heaven and hell for the whole fic.
- Something set during the film - you could expand on any of the realities that Stanley's wishes created, or explore what other wishes Stanley might have made if he'd been nudged in another direction.

What an absolute disaster of a human being. I love him so much. Anything digging into Damien's life will delight me!
Optional prompts:
- More scenes from roadtrip/kidnapping medley. The light moments where they were having fun and maybe almost bonding, and the dark moments where Damien was being himself. Hurt/comfort and nightmares and Damien's conflicted attempts at being a person.
- Tell me more about Damien's time in the AM, when he's alone and powerless and forced to confront the consequences of every terrible decision he's ever made. More harrowing conversations with Wadsworth? Weirdly nice conversations with Agent Green?
- Canon-divergence AUs! What if Damien didn't find out about Mark's power until he'd handed him over to Sam & Joan? What if he was 5% less terrible and gave Mark a camera when he asked for one? What if the reverse roadtrip took a lot longer and he was forced to be honest about things?
- I love explorations of how Damien's power feels, for him or for the people he's influencing.
- The twisty things that can happen with other people's powers, or just because: Time loops? Time travel fix-it (or break-it-worse)? Memory erasure, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind style?
I adore him, but my favourite moments from the show are when he's suffering. It's the combination of arrogance and vulnerability and desperation and the way he's so performative in his villainy, and so terrible at it. All he wants is someone to actually listen! Anything exploring this world will delight me! I love the atmosphere and the darkness and the humour and the sobriquets and how vast this universe feels - I just want to spend more time in it. Here are a few prompts, if you want them, but please go wherever your inspiration takes you!
- Tell me about a day in the life of any character - it can be someone we've met, or an average citizen just trying to get through the day, or pick any job that must exist in the Neath and explore what's it like to do it (Courier? Any of the Ministries? University admin? Monster hunting in Bugsby's Marshes?)
- In-universe documents! I love ephemera and epistolary fic. Letters between characters, newspaper articles, tourist guides to the city, club member rules, revolutionary pamphlets, what gets pasted on the walls in various parts of the city, wanted posters, lost and found...
- Literal worldbuilding: Tell me more about any part of London! The architecture, the atmosphere, the sounds, the smells, the shadows... I adore spending time in Parabola too, if you want to explore there.
- What was it like to be in London when it fell? How quickly did everything change once it was down there?
I've played Sunless Sea if you want to use any locations or characters from there, too. I've completed the Heart's Desire ambition and I'm near the end of Bag a Legend, but feel free to use characters & locations from the other ambitions, if you want!
