Hi!

I LOVE HORROR. I particularly love things that take characters from other genres and throw them into horror situations, or explore all the ways a familiar thing is actually terrifying.

If you already know what you want to create, please go for it! Everything here is just for inspiration in case you need it.


Fic likes: magic and magical realism, fantasy & urban fantasy, myths and legends and fairytales, moral ambiguity, intelligent protagonists, shameless tropes, distinctive/atmospheric settings, character studies through action, first times and getting together rather than established relationship, competency, swordfights, rain and storms and weather, fancy clothes, crack treated seriously, angst, hurt/comfort, complicated relationships.

Horror likes: Atmospheric horror. Psychological horror. Comedy horror! Finding the light in dark places. Spooky houses. Abandoned places. Creepy trees. Dark spaces full of unknown things. That slow, creeping sense that something is Wrong. Nature moving benignly and deliberately. Plants growing too fast and where they shouldn't. Apocalypse and post-apocalypse. Dystopia. Science/magic gone wrong. Ghosts. Zombies. Eldritch abominations. Lovingly described gore. Characters being injured enough to make things difficult but not enough to stop them surviving. Being stalked by something that may or may not be human. Humans being the real monsters. Monsters being the real monsters. Guilt. Mind-control, manipulation, hallucinations. Time loops revolving around something awful.

Porn likes: Vanilla sex and smut that focuses entirely on what the characters are thinking and feeling is always lovely. If you want to write kinks, my favourites include honor bondage, d/s elements that aren't painstakingly negotiated and both characters are conveniently into, sharing fantasies, sex pollen, desperation leading to frottage & sex with clothes on.

DNW: main character death (exceptions - in MCU, anyone but Peter can die. In Blank Space, any men can die), animal abuse, a/b/o, pregnancy.

I'd prefer a happy or at least hopeful ending for all of these.

Justin Lazarus/Nathaniel Roy

A fake medium and a hardened skeptic vs something genuinely supernatural! Maybe Nathaniel (or Mark) has been tasked with investigating a supposedly haunted house, or there's something strange and inhuman creeping through the London fog, or an old client turns up to demand Justin's help with something inexplicable. It's up to you how surprised Justin is by it - I love it when he has to think on his feet and use every ounce of his intelligence to survive, but I also have a fondness for mediums who use nothing but fakery in their work because they know Real Shit is out there, and they want absolutely nothing to do with it.

Intelligent, manipulative tricksters are my favourite character type, and I loved Justin from the very first page. It took me longer to warm up to Nathaniel, with all his confidence and priviledge, but I love the way he cares for his friends, how he unquestioningly does the right thing and stands up for what he believes in, and by the end of the book I was right there with Justin making heart eyes at him. I honestly love Justin's pragmatism and selfishness and the very select circle of people he cares about, and how Nathaniel can be judgemental and self-righteous. I love how they're both intelligent and stubborn and defiant and prickly, and they see the best and worst in each other and love each other unconditionally.

And now I want them to go through something terrible together (again) :D

I'd love anything where they're out of their comfort zone and having to rely on their wits and each other to survive. Both of their jobs could lead to having to investigate something weird, or free feel to pull in something from the series (a distant and forgotten part of the Tallifer estate? Sukey's school?) to get them there! Ghosts, ghouls, actual evil spirits, demons, zombies, shapeshifters, malevolent forests, creepily smiling towns and things that make them question their own reality are all GREAT. As long as they both survive in the end, I will be happy.

I also love the London smog, and the instant gothic horror it provides. Anything playing with that would be fun - what hides in it, getting lost in it, what the fog itself might be made of and what it does to the people who breathe it in for too long.

Marvel Cinematic Universe - Fic, with or without sexual content (but art treats are very welcome!)
Peter Parker/Tony Stark, Quentin Beck/Peter Parker

I just really love it when Peter Parker is put through hell. It could another of Beck's illusions, or an impossible thing from beyond the stars, or just an old abandoned building in Queens where he thought he heard someone calling for help but there's no one there and he can't find the way out? Or, after Tony's (or Beck's) death, Peter keeps seeing him and he can't tell if it's real or if he's going mad. Or, the apocalyspe happens (zombies? alien plague? the snap but worse?) and he's injured but at least Tony's there (or is he?).

As you can see, my main ships are Peter/Older Men and Peter/Trauma.

I realise a lot of my prompts seem to focus on Tony being dead, so, er, free feel to not do that and have Tony alive and well and an active part of the fic! Something horrific that they tackle together would be just as lovely as Peter being traumised and hallucinating :D I particular love Peter saying 'Mr Stark', and him only saying 'Tony' when under extreme emotional duress.

That said, everything about Beck using Peter in Far From Home was like catnip to me, so if you just want to write more about Beck's particular brand of charming manipluation and mind fuckery in order to break Peter, I would be delighted.

I'm cool with one-sided pining (see: Peter/Trauma ♥), but for Peter/Tony, I prefer Peter being the instigator and Tony having many reasons why he shouldn't being doing this (but doing it anyway (see: Guilt ♥)). For Quentin/Peter, Quentin using Peter's crush on him as another way to manipulate him would be perfection, and I don't think Quentin would have any qualms about how far to take it. All levels of dub-con are just *chef's kiss*.



Blank Space - Taylor Swift (Music Video) - Fic, with or without sexual content (but art treats are very welcome!)
Solo: Taylor, Taylor/OFC, Sean/Taylor
Horror Type: Cosmic/Lovecraftian | Dark Fantasy | Folk | Gothic | Killer | Monster | Paranormal | Psychological | Survival

Lean hard into the horror aspects of this video and I will LOVE IT. Is Taylor some kind of black widow/goddess/monster who lures men to her house to toy with and sometimes devour? What does she get out of it? Are the men mind-controlled or do they somehow think they're the one in control? Are there woods around her mansion filled with crashed cars and well-dressed ghosts? What happens when a women (in a really nice suit??) turns up instead of the man Taylor's expecting? (if she's there to slay the beast, please let them fall in mutually murderous love and both survive.) I love the humourous vibe of the video but full-out horror is also great!

I didn't know I needed this until I saw it in the tagset! If you're naming any of the men, I'd prefer it if they weren't named after Taylor's actual ex's. For Taylor/OFC, I'm open to anything, but if you need inspiration I do low-key ship Taylor with Selena Gomez and every other woman who shows up in the Bad Blood video. :D.

More possible things to explore!
- What's up with all the animals everywhere? Is she a modern-day Snow White? Do the men think she's a trapped princess in need of rescuing? (Maybe there are two stories about the manor in the middle of the woods - the beautiful girl and the evil witch guarding her. Taylor loves playing both!)
- The line I get drunk on jealousy
- Why do the clothes burst into flame when Taylor throws them off the balcony?
- The apple voodoo?? (is she Eve, or Lilith?)

You don't have to answer any of these question! You can just explore the aesthetics or what happens with previous/future men and I will be delighted.
